We're here!

Hey, we're here! Our flights were uncannily smooth, both literally and figuratively, and we arrived in Budapest about 15 minutes early. Bori was there with a coach bus to pick us up [students, do you have cool pictures to add?] and we drove through downtown Budapest. We stopped to stretch our legs in Heros' Square ... the castles you see below are actually copies of Transylvanian ones.

In Heroes' Square, we found some heroes of our own...

And now we're comfortably ensconced in Salgótarján: we had a nice lunch in the cafeteria (mmm... goulash soup!) and a tour of the school before returning to our various host families. Just as we were leaving, the Physics students were making a presentation to their grade about some ideas in particle physics (inspired by the Edward Teller centennial), which made me & Mr. O wonder whether we couldn't incorporate presentations like that at Payton.... Now it's off to wander the streets and find out what the city is like!
